Peter Ebb, Urban College of Boston Board Chair welcomes the new members, stating: “We feel extremely fortunate that Jan and Connie are joining the Urban College Board. Both have extensive experience in areas of critical importance to the College. Like many of Urban College’s students, both were born outside the United States (Jan in Trinidad, Connie in Chile) and have a deep understanding of the challenges our students face.

Jan and Connie are passionate about making higher education accessible to communities like those served by Urban College and dedicated to a student-first focus in educational programs. They will strengthen the board, and they will benefit the College and the students we serve.”

Their admission to the board also marks the departure of two incredible board members, Dr. Paul LeBlanc and Yiming Shuang.

Dr. Paul LeBlanc shared his insights and expertise as the former president of Southern New Hampshire University, an important partner of Urban College.

Yiming Shuang is a dynamic nonprofit leader whose strategic operational perspective supported Urban College’s rapid recent growth.

The college is immensely grateful for Dr. Paul LeBlanc and Yiming Shuang’s contributions as board members and wishes them continued success.
