General Studies Certificate
The General Studies certificate program blends general education core courses and electives aligned with individual aspirations to give students the opportunity to explore their individual career and education interests. The General Studies certificate program helps prepare students for the workforce and further educational opportunities.
There are 21 credits required to complete the General Studies Certificate including general requirements in:
College Writing I
Speech Communication
General Psychology
Professional Development Seminar I
An additional three (3) program concentration courses in at least two (2) of the following areas are also required:
Management
Early Childhood Education
Human Services
Natural Sciences
Computer Information Systems

Interested in an associate or bachelor’s degree? All courses in the certificate program will transfer into the corresponding associate degree program at Urban College of Boston. In addition, transfer agreements with other colleges allow students to continue their education.
