The Executive in Residence Fellowship Course provides Urban College students and alumni with a significant opportunity to engage with experienced executives across a broad spectrum of industries. This co-curricular initiative links students with leaders from both for-profit and non-profit organizations, encompassing enterprises of various sizes, from micro to large-scale, and spanning local to global contexts.
Through mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical insights, this fellowship promotes lifelong learning, cultivates essential social capital, and affords students an experiential learning experience reflective of the contemporary business environment.
Course Objectives:
Cultivate Leadership: Develop participants into leaders with strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
Enhance Professionalism: Improve business communication (written and oral), professional etiquette, and presentation skills.
Build Confidence and Self-Awareness: Increase self-confidence and self-awareness and develop practical self-advocacy skills.
Expand Professional Networks: Build professional networks, cultivate sponsors, and learn effective networking strategies.
Develop Cultural Dexterity: Discuss and address bias, discrimination, and workplace diversity issues.

Dr. Aisha Miller is a force for positive change in both the public and private sectors. As Vice President of Permitting, Community, and Corporate Engagement at Related Beal, she has spent years creating opportunities for communities to thrive while fostering strong, meaningful relationships between businesses and the people they serve. Dr. Miller has a remarkable background, including serving as Chief of Civic Engagement for the City of Boston and holding leadership roles with organizations like the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.
Dr. Priscilla H. Douglas: A Trailblazer in Executive Coaching and Leadership Development
Dr. Priscilla H. Douglas is a recognized thought leader and executive coach who has spent over 30 years empowering professionals to unlock their full potential. As the founder of PHDouglas & Associates, she has worked with individuals and teams across multiple industries, including healthcare, technology, financial services, and government. Notably, Dr. Douglas made history as the first Black woman to serve in the Massachusetts cabinet as Secretary of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
