Library Resources

UCB students are able to access books, articles, and other resources through two different library systems. Depending on what you are looking for, please consider taking one of the following steps:

  1. Request books from the Suffolk Univerisity Library. See how here.

  2. Access research quality databases through the Boston Public Library. See how here

  3. Visit the Boston Public Library Click Here . Their collections might well include what you need.

If you have any questions, please contact Whitney Wilson

Steps for requesting books from Suffolk University through Inter-Library Loan:

  1. Access the online catalog (a list of books and other resources held by the library).  Click Here

Note: UCB patrons cannot borrow books from the Suffolk Law, Dean, Dakar, or Madrid libraries, nor can we access non-circulating items (e.g. Reserve, Reference, Rare items). Please ask a staff member if you are unsure what you are requesting.

  2. See the UCB librarian OR an LRC staff member for a copy the Suffolk ILL form.

  3. Fill out the "Request Form" as completely as possible. The UCB staff member helping you can find and fill out the necessary information.

Suffolk will let UCB know if a book request has been delayed for any reason.

Please return your books by the due date Whitney Wilson, UCB librarian.

Steps for finding articles through Boston Regional Library System:

  1. Set up an electronic BPL card, if you don't already have one,

The BPL e-card can only be used from the services explained here.

We encourage all UCB students to upgrade to a standard BPL    card, which allows access to all the services of the library. To do so, visit your local branch of the BPL.

  2. Once you have an e-card, access the databases with your number via this link. It's easy to focus your search by academic area (arts and humanities; sciences; education), and by following the suggestions you'll find on the page, you will be able to search magazines and journals related to your topic.

  3. If at any point you need help in your searching, please contact Whitney Wilson, UCB Librarian.
